Diocese of Arundel and Brighton Pastoral Plan
One of the key elements of the Plan is the delivery of Schools of Prayer and Weeks of Guided Prayer in each Deanery. These weeks are now beginning and will be a very important element in the mission of the Diocese. Doing everything from a place of prayer will be absolutely necessary if we are truly to be ready for every good work.
Dowry of Our Lady: You are encouraged to join in the preparation for England’s Rededication as Mary’s Dowry on 25th March by taking part in the 33 days retreat starting Monday 24th February. The rededication prayers will be held at our church (St Joseph's) on Sunday 29th March at all Masses. The booklet (33 days to Morning Glory) with more information is available from either entrance. It contains a wonderful summary of four great Saints’ relationship with the Blessed Mother. The daily reflection, a page a day with a short prayer is neither onerous nor time consuming. The prayers for the day will be read out daily after morning prayer (9.00 am everyday) – please join us or do it privately in your own time. See www.rcdow.org.uk (Diocese of Westminster website) for more details of this devotion to Mary. Thank you.
Epsom Deanery: Week of Guided Prayer - WHO IS IT FOR? It’s for you! As someone who has already been there said, “I think I expected something more ‘holy’! As it was, I was able to be me and think and pray about life as I’m experiencing it now ...”. Are you interested and would like to know more? The Week begins with an Opening Service on Sunday 15th March at 4.00 pm at St Michael’s Church, Ashtead and concludes with a Closing Service on Friday 20th March also at St Michael’s. email John Roberts, one of the co-ordinators, for more information
